AWANA is a children’s program for ages 3 – 12 that we provide on
Wednesday evenings during the school year, from 6:30-8:15 p.m.
AWANA stands for Approved Workmen Are Not Ashamed taken from II
Timothy 2:15 and strives to teach young people to be “workmen”
living for the Lord in every area of their lives.
AWANA is similar to other children’s clubs in that the children wear
uniforms, earn awards, and learn profitable life lessons. However,
AWANA is also different in that it uses the Word of God to teach
children how they can have a relationship with God through faith in
the finished work of Jesus Christ.
AWANA is a slam packed night consisting of three segments each week:
Game Time, Memory Work Time, and a Teaching Time. Here at Tri-City,
we are very grateful to have a tremendous variety of leaders in our
program from teenagers even on up to the young at heart age group.
Each child that comes will be cared for as an individual and should
have a positive experience.
